microsoft windows phone 7



microsoft has just released the latest version of their mobile operating system, to compete with google’s
android and apple’s iphone OS. windows phone 7 is a move away from windows previous mobile
operating system. the new system is designed with a much cleaner UI that is influenced by their zune
music player. the OS was specifically designed for interacting with social networks, as well as organizing
contacts and other information. the windows phone was also deliberately designed to break away from
the conventions of personal computers, opting instead for a  much more intimate experience that is based
around 6 hubs of activity. in addition to phone and organizing functions the system will also play xbox
live games on mobile devices. mobiles using the new windows phone OS will be released later this year.

Well, it looks about as functional as any other new phone. Personally, I just can't bring myself to trust Microsoft or Apple any more. It just feels like there is something malicious lurking behind that veil of pleasant marketing, from either company.

After watching the vid its actually a well thought out User Interface and Experience. Most of what's out there is just a grid of pretty icons and gimmicky transitions. You get the feeling that there's a lot more soul to the layout it's like a journal for your life. I love it, when can I buy one.

I think this new OS is real step in the right direction. I can't wait to get my hands on it to try it myself.

For now i created a Pro/Con List about what i know.

I do have to say I like the UI/UX. Refreshing. Especially coming from MSFT. At least it isn't a half-assed OS squeezed from a desktop version.

Windows Phone 7 for sure is going to be a hit because "It is a meaningful phone OS and almost most of the things that I or you could wish from the Smartphone we carry today."

Looks very similar to the Zune device. The same designers that created the icons and look/feel of the zune device looks the same. Microsoft bites off of iphones & other programs. I don't know if its very reliable and what phone service do you use?
I wonder who will buy this phone and how it will compete with other cellphones out there.
