typeface

typeface

while most people have a favourite typeface, mary huang's typeface program creates a custom font based
on a person's facial features. the application uses a computer camera as an input device, scanning the
user's face and translating this into a typeface. huang used a geometric type system to make the fonts,
so that despite variations the type would remain at a high quality. the system is dynamic allowing people
to make different faces and immediately see how their typeface changes. while not part of hunag's project
it would be interesting to see how a person's typeface compares to their actual handwriting.
