mio broke out of the pure car navigation device segment at CeBit 2010 with their new moov v780
navigation and entertainment device. the new device has the capability to play 720p video on its large
7-inch screen in addition to turn by turn navigation. the system also has a 3D operating system that is
built on window CE and uses a number of touch sensitive interactions for controlling the device. while it
does have a virtual keyboard, the optional carrying case allows the product to be used like a laptop,
thanks to an external keyboard and display stand. the device launches later this year and hopes to change
the navigation niche by offering much more than competing models.
