tesla EYE concept

image: autoblog
rather than a real concept, the tesla EYE is a design study created by students at the istituto europeo di
design of turin with the help of tesla motor's chief designer franz von holzhausen. because it isn't an
actual concept car, there was no engine inside this model when it was on show at the 2010 geneva motor
show. however, the intent of the project was to show that even electric cars, like teslas, can be made sleek
and sophisticated. the students worked a lot on experimenting with aerodynamics, creating the unique
front air scoops which trap the air and channel it back on the car through small grooves. they also created
floating-like rear lights that add to the aerodynamic feel.
