the nintendo DS camera controller is an open source DIY project designed to give advanced DSRL users
a way to conveniently tinker with their cameras settings. the project is led by photographer steve
chapman who uses the popular gaming platform as an interactive camera controller. chapman has a full
walk-through tutorial online that shows users exactly how to make the system work with their DSLR
camera. the final product gives photographers eight hours of battery life and a slew of features like sound
and motion sensing. the system is ultimately for hardcore users, but could hint at a new camera accessory
for mainstream users. plus if you get bored of taking pictures, you can always play a game of mario cart.

Very good idea and well executed DIY project, enabling a better interface for camera configuration.
I can think on something related with an iPad like accessory: bigger screen, touch screen, live preview and no wires (wi-fi/bluetooth).

That is the worst "photo" I've ever seen.

ya, good idea. let's become more removed from our cameras. hopefully soon we won't even have to touch them, some computer program can set up everything and calibrate the settings and we won't even have to go near them. learning how to use an actual camera is so 1950s.

I reckon we should start up a company. Maybe name it 'Skynet' or something like that and make robots that take photos for us?
