glove mouse

glove mouse

while we have seen examples of computer mice worn as gloves, but the glove mouse by MIT researchers
tony hyun kim and nevada sanchez is in another league. rather than just interface with the computer like
a regular mouse, the glove mouse uses the users arm gestures to move the screen in three dimensions.
the gloves work wirelessly with a computer, giving the user lots of mobility and room to interface.
the design utilizes two gloves allowing users to make hand gestures with their left and right hand that
trigger actions much like multi-touch displays. the gloves allow users to use their hands to manipulate
virtual objects much like they would with physical ones.

'in another league'? is this a paid advertisement?

sorry but the LED's-stuck-on-a-glove or the entire interface function are old hats and don't seem to be the aim of this project. Looks like they had to design an intergrated system, and decided as case a very simple interface demo. That's what i hope for them at least.

no, anon, its actually a reference to (the human) league's 1984 hit 'together in electric dreams'
you see phil oakey wasnt actually in the human league when he busted out this number with italo-disco superstar gorgio moroder, thats why its in 'another' league
doesthatclearitup?   04.01.10
sorry, doesthatclearitup?, but its actually 'giorgio' not 'gorgio' for the fact-hungry disco fans out there
