at one point, a radio in a car was revolutionary, but new technologies like myford touch are taking car
controls to a new level. this new car system allows drivers to use their phone, mp3 player and control
other aspects of the car’s interior through buttons located directly on the steering wheel. the whole
system is run through a large LCD screen located in the center of the dashboard and a smaller screen
directly in front of the driver. this smaller screen allows the driver to control multiple things with out
turning their head or taking their hands off the wheel. in addition to controlling the entertainment system,
the service also gives real-time feedback on the car’s fuel-efficiency coaching users to save fuel.

While the idea would seem to assist driving, anything that takes the driver's concentration from the actual vision of his immediate surroundings is dangerous. All depends on the individual d;-)
