this mirrored figure may look like a sculpture, but there is actually a man inside this extravagant costume
spotted in san francisco. the costume belongs to a street performer who wore it outside san fran’s griffith
observatory. the suit covers the wearer from head to toe with small fragments of mirror that provide just
enough movement for posing and walking around. large pieces of mirror are placed on the front and back
of the costume, while the head, hands and other detailed parts of the body have much smaller pieces.
while we aren’t completely sure who the costume was built, it is clear that it breaks into a few smaller
components and is most likely all attached through a single textile.
