food is not just a hot topic in design and cutting edge creativity today, but also an enormous industry with
changing standards and perceptions.

content
unfortunately, these days, food and eating have become something of a status symbol. where you eat,
which supermarket you go to, and the food brands you purchase have all become of importance in our society.
covering various issues revolving around food, 'crEATe.' is divided into seven main sections:
food activists, whole hearted, smart food, packaging, food spaces, typologies and future solutions,
and takes a look at current trends in the food industry. topics range from looking at the production,
manufacturing and the consumption of food, looking to food as a means of distributing information about where
it is made, what its contents are, the packaging of food and food as packaging, to actual 'designed' food items,
restaurants and spaces designed for the enjoyment of food. food is something strongly rooted in one's culture
and is a means of passing down traditions.

is it for me?
the book is an overview of the activities that are going on in the food industry today.
it provides a pictorial guide to products and spaces related to the topic of food.
