robocar z
japanese robotics company ZMP has released the robocar, one of the first car robotics systems for research
and development of fully autonomous automobiles. the robocar is a small vehicle with a protruding head
that holds two cameras connected to the latest image recognition modules. as full size vehicles get more
technologically advanced engineers and researchers need ways to develop software for the robotization
of cars. the robo car is the ideal platform for developing this software since it is smaller and more price effective than a full-scale car. the robocar runs on a linux operating system and comes with its own API.
the small cars began shipping earlier this summer with a price tag of 7000 USD for the basic model.
