volkswagen L1 concept



the concept behind the new volkswagen L1 concept is a car which can travel 100km using only one liter
of gas. the concept has been in the works for a while and is reportedly very close to production. the super
efficient car would achieve a fuel economy of a round 240 miles per gallon, something unthinkable
only a few years a go. the car is able to reach this feat thanks to an hybrid diesel electric power train,
aerodynamic form and a light weight. the interior seats the driver and passenger one behind the other
and has a single door which opens to one side. the shell is made from lightweight carbon fibre, making
the car’s total weight an astounding 838 pounds.
