the daihatsu basket is a new compact car concept that debuted at the tokyo motor show last month.
despite the compact size of the vehicle it manages to seat up to four passengers and serve double duty
as a truck and convertible. daihatsu calls the basket a slow-life vehicle. the design is rather minimal
and boxy, taking cues from the past. the car is light and driven by a 3 cylinder 660cc engine making it
very efficient. the roof comes in two parts a removable fiberglass section over the front and a canvas top
on the back. inside the interior is kept mostly bare with fabric covered dash and exposed floor panels.
the car also has four wheel drive making it capable of talking some rough terrain.
