'leda' cut-out clutch

escama studio is a san francisco based company that has been working together with brazilian crafts
co-operatives since 2004 to create fashion accessories made from recycled aluminum pull-tabs.
there were originally 12 artisans producing bags for escama -now there are over 100. each bag comes
with a hang tag bearing the signature of the individual who crocheted the piece and their photos and bios
can be found on escama's website. currently escama offer around a dozen products including bags,
purses and jewelry.
