hermès x liberty: scarves and ties

hermès x liberty: scarves and ties

hermès and liberty have worked together on an exclusive limited edition range of scarves and ties. designed by bali barret, creative director of hermès silk, the pieces combine the liberty tana lawn classic flower print and the hermès ex libris logo.

'for us parisians, liberty is the british icon. both hermès and liberty share a love for fantasy and unexpected situations. the idea for the collaboration was to create a fifty percent hermès and fifty percent liberty scarf in order to make a one hundred percent truly exciting hybrid collection of scarves and ties. choosing to print our famous ex libris on to the famous liberty tana lawn classic flower print was the perfect solution.' - bali barret

two sizes and six color variations of the new scarves will be available (along with the autumn/winter 2009-10 collection) at a special 'pop-up' event which sees hermès taking over liberty’s scarf room from september 7 until october 18, 2009. more information can be found here and here.
