to celebrate ten years of ‘eating design’ marije vogelzang is putting on a series of ‘eat love dinners’ at proef amsterdam throughout july and august 2009. works such as her ‘edible leaves from the photosynthesis tree’, ‘white dinner’, ‘desserts in baked clay’ and others are on the menu, which is open to the public.

white funeral meal (above) – ‘unlike western society, most cultures associate the color white with death. this meal consists entirely of white food and especially designed white crockery. in this serene atmosphere next of kin can share a meal and their memories’.
