'48' ceiling lamp shown in white
101 design is a newly formed korean design studio that presented their work as part of tokyo designers week.
one of their projects is the '48' lamp, constructed using 48 coat-hangers arranged around a central bulb.
the result resembles a wire-frame drawing of a typical lamp shade. the piece was shown as a tripod floor lamp
and ceiling lamp, in white, black and red.

the merit of the 48 lamp is to offer a totally new way to see/ use common things like coat hangers- and that's just great - we gotta recycle the way we see the things;see second life- is that real life or is that just fantasy?

This is so boring. It does not recycle as you clearly have to purchase 48 hangers to make the product. This is tired thoughts and uninspired thinking. pass on by.

"48" is not only recycle product but also new product.
White color "48" is recycle product.
White hanger is general.
In these days, people usually send their clothes to the cleaner's.
When people get the clothes back from the cleaners, the "Hangers" are coming with them.
Because people don’t want to keep more hangers than they need, they dump them out after all.
We think that the hangers are too good to use. So we suggest how to reuse the hangers in " 48 of 101"
But Other Color "48" is a new product.
