the process of hydro-forming

the stool gets its vivid retro-futuristic look through hydro-forming.
the liquid is inserted with high pressure between two flat alluminium sheets,
which were previously welded on the edges.
the pressure and the thickness define the 3D appearance and stability.

the chair, first prototype from oskar zieta,
developed simultaneously with the hay stool, not yet finalized.
