during art basel 2008, the multidisciplinary german artist hans peter feldmann presented his 2002 piece
'schattenspiel' (shadow play) through gallery minini based out of brescia, italy at art unlimited. the piece is an
assortment of toy figures and bric-a-brac arranged on slowly revolving turntables. light shining onto the objects
causes shadows to be cast onto walls, creating a kind of performance or dance. the animated shadows evoke
a childlike wonderment, which encourages viewers to see the simple, everyday objects in a new light.
