‘buungi’ tables by buungi

buungi is a toronto based design studio started by masoud mahboobullah. they showed off a collection
of lights and tables at their booth, which was honoured with the studio north best collection award at the
show. their most distinctive product was the ‘light balance’ table lamp. the design uses a powder-coated
steel base to support a set of two linear fluorescent lights that have been sandwiched in clear acrylic.
the design allows the lights to shine through and exposes all the electrical wiring. they also showed their
‘python’ desk lamp and ‘buungi’ table series.
