I designed this lamp to solve a constant personal problem - not having enough space on a small bedside table to keep all my books. the design was inspired by the shape and function of a traditional metal library bookend, as well as the side profile of a person reading a book while on their knees. the base of the light becomes a storage area for your books and the lampshade can be adjusted up or down to accommodate different sizes. the top edge of the metal base can be used as a handle to carry the light, along with the books to a new area. the lamp base is manufactured from powder coated metal that has been laser cut and cnc bent. the lampshade is custom made with fabric & wire.
