‘matera rossa’ lamp by davide g. aquini for ilide

the ‘matera’ lamps collection by davide g. aquini is an homage to the simplicity of the italian territories, where nature inserts itself into the social and cultural contexts of the human being. these lighting objects produced by italian lighting manufacturer ilide blend and combine different kinds of earth and clay through a unique technique which results in solid objects during the firing phase by which they are made. the gradations and contrasts of colors are a result of mixing the materials together, assuring a unique product every time, without further coloring or finishing processes.
