spring time: sustainable ice cream cart ‘sustainable ice cream cart’ by spring time in collaboration with ijs & zopie and odenwald organics

in collaboration with dutch ice-cream company ijs & zopie and odenwald organics, amsterdam-based studio spring time has built ‘sustainable ice cream cart’, a vending device that keeps your ice cream cold by using solar energy. the transparent photovoltaic panel in the roof generates the efficient AGM batteries during the day, resulting in balanced power distribution. even when the sun isn’t shining,  the batteries supply the freezer with a charge all day long. if needed, the batteries can be recharged overnight by simply plugging the  system into an outlet socket. the roof can raised manually and extends by using four telescopic supports.
