‘rhythm’ by alessandro isola & supriya mankad

london-based designers alessandro isola & supriya mankad have developed ‘rhythm’, a modular light object that can be modified in a number of ways in order to create unique installations that are site and function specific. the idea is combined with the traditional murano technique of blowing glass into a metal cage for making lanterns. by further splitting the module by flexibility increasing light output in single or multiple configurations. developed in collaboration with venini – a leading venitian blown glass company, the lamp was launched as a celebration of 90 years in glass making excellence.
