out of the blue by META architects images © bartosz szymanek

conceived by polish META architects, the project lies in the desire to depict the true face of nature by means of magnifying its power and wildness. scaling the shape of the construction intended to arouse the basic primordial feelings accompanying humans during their physical contact with the untamed natural surroundings. the form of the installation is strictly connected with the place; it accentuates its mysterious and mythical spatial context.

influenced by feelings of fear and fascination, the sculpture builds up tension due to its supernatural size and its location in an unexpected place. ‘out of the blue’ exposes the contemporary attitudes towards our ecological resources, of which are being exploited by society. the exhibition is the result of translating biological language of geometry by simplifying repetitive modules based on isosceles triangles. weaved by jute rope, the triangles are linked, forming a set of refracted geometric planes stretched out between the trees.
