‘flickering chair’ by ryo ishihara

conceived by japanese designer ryo ishihara, his ‘flickering chair’ takes the idea of the inabilities to physically interact with the elements of smoke, flames or clouds. the furniture piece is reflected with the assurance of users being able to manipulate these naturally occuring systems. as it flickers in the wind, the panels swing – its presence uncertain and obscure.
