at salone satellite 2010 in milan, american product designer peter j. pless participated
in an exhibition showcasing eight of his new prototypes under the theme of 'spaces'.
the collection merges a variety domestic objects such as a leaning mirror which doubles
as a closet storage to a one seater stool which transforms into a meeting space for two.

peter j. pless has been previously selected by designboom to be a part of the

'ripple'

the soft waves flowing over the surfaces of the 'ripple' chair draw from memories of
a serene day at the beach.

'tryst'

'tryst' is a seat designed for one which becomes transformed into a place for meeting.


'escritoir'

'escritoir' is a small computer desk that redefines the boundaries of an office environment
allowing for work and play in the comfortable setting of the home.

'guise' is a wood framed leaning mirror that also offers hanging storage space for clothing.


'atelier'
painted MDF, steel, fabric
167 cm x 100 cm x 127 cm


through a shift in scale of a familiar domestic prop, the lamp 'atelier' not only lights a room,
it becomes a room. the interior space within the lamp provides a serene environment that is
free of visual distractions while offering a sense of security.


'prism'

25 cm x 92 cm x 92 cm


the mirrored interior surfaces of this geometric table titled 'prism' reflect a colorful
interpretation of the surrounding environment.
