automatic self-cleaning toilet

at milan design week 2010 panasonic electric works showcased their new line of
fully automatic self-cleaning toilets made of organic glass developed in collaboration
with naoto fukasawa. the easy-to-install toilets incorporate innovative heat recycling
with technologies for water and energy saving.

consisting of a sensor and light, the toilet lid opens when users are near.
the toilet saves approximately 66% of water per year with its flushing system
compared with regular toilets.
