cheungvogl: standpunkt

'standpunkt'
hong kong architectural firm cheungvogl just sent designboom images of their latest
project 'standpunkt'. literally translated from german meaning 'standing point', it is an
ensemble of sculptural furniture, merging the lines between functional objects and
art forms. the design is intended to replace a common bar stool. it features a subtly
shaped polished aluminum seat and a 'third hand', supported by a z-shaped stainless
steel slender base.
'standpunkt' is a functional art installation - art to use, to see, to touch.

They are very beautiful but for seating on that...hn..hn...I really doubt that. But if it's a floor lamp i think it's going to be very charming in living room. :)

this is what you want to see in a museum/opera house/hotel lobby, much rather than ordinary bar stools and tables
