dutch design label vij5 was founded by arjan van raadshooven and anieke branderhorst,
who design a majority of the company's product collection.
their 'flex vase' is a porcelain vessel which consists of a base part with three different inserts,
that can be exchanged to adapt the vase according the height or size of the bouquet
it holds. the overall design of 'flex vase' is based on the weck pot (canning jar) principle.
a practical clip holds the pieces together with the assistance of a rubber ring (to seal the space
between the inserts).
