stanley ruiz: symbiosis - wood speakers
'symbiosis' is part of the selection of filipino contemporary design production that will be
shown in designboom's curated exhibition 'asia now', at dwell on design in los angeles, june 25th - 27th, 2010.
filipino designer stanley ruiz has created 'symbiosis', a series of wooden speakers.
his interpretation takes a 'lo-fi' approach to product design - he applied found objects such as
tree logs and scrap wood to create the sound structures in which to house the speakers.

'symbiosis'
the speakers were previously shown in the exhibition 'sounds like' in may 2010 in new york,
curated by designer joey roth.
roth invited nine designers and five musicians to reinterpret his ceramic speakers.
