vienna based designer valentin vodev has turned his sights from duck fins to making parenting a bit more
fun. vodev’s latest project is a baby carriage that allows the pusher to kick off and ride along with their
child, just like a push scooter. the stroller can be adjusted into a series of positions, closing off the
scooting ability or pushing the seat all the way to the front or maximum scooting. before you imagine
some kind of horrible accident, vodev made the safety of the child a top priority. for one, the child is
strapped in with a secure seat belt and second, a hydraulic brake system with two front disk brakes ensure
quick stops. however he also warns not to exceed 15km/h.

i agree with the design of the carriage. walking is too slow and the baby will become a race car driver. very cool.
CROFTdesign   05.24.10
he cant be serious lol
leo   05.25.10
oh yeah.
you slip, your kid is dead.
stupid design
zed   05.25.10
Notice the mom on the 1st and 4th pic is just out of an insurance company. My guess is she went there to ask for a kid replacement if anything bad happens to hers.
Henrique Vicente   05.25.10
I think this is dangerous for the baby, could be better for a grocery shopping cart instead.
Kian   05.25.10
I think it is a very good idea!!!
max   05.25.10
dangerous. and wont pass regulations ever. check DIN 1888 ;)
ben   05.25.10
definately designed by someone who has not had a baby. A baby is a fragile thing.
sue gregor   05.25.10
love it!! I might be convinced that mommyhood is cool.
lanvy nguyen   05.25.10
Fun approach but the baby is very vulnerable in this car. I see dangerous.
inmaerre   05.25.10
no parent will buy this product for their baby
michelle   05.25.10
i agree with most of u ..its dangerous..

but we can see the designer has a funny idea
agnes   05.25.10
ok for scooting on a safe sleeky sidewalk. i mean, why not?
thing is u can't always ride it, u have to walk now and then and it seems the design compels you to do it BESIDE the carrier wich is not exactly easy...
(unless u enjoy walking with the scooter BETWEEN your feet!)
buzzoff   05.26.10
Does it come with a helmet for baby and parent?
cng   05.26.10
the one with the older kid will pass regulations as long as the kid and the parent have helmets on (similar to biking with child in bike trailer). the infant carrier will never pass! ever! there are no bike trailers that allow an infant.
cool idea   05.27.10
For the way back from nursery after dropping the little one there... Without kid on board it's truly brilliant! 10 points
Mr t   05.29.10
Cool, but not safe. I would never exchange my Bugaboo for that weird machine, sorry ;)
Mantis   05.29.10
I see that many people are concerned for the safety of the child, and less are concerned with the parent's safety. Did you know that baby carriages were out lawed in New York state when they first came out in the 1800's. Sounds like the same type of concerns to me. If you don't like the child carrier, why not convert it to a shopping bag! Then grandma can go to the shopping and get exercise at the same time ... and have a ball!
Kelly   05.29.10
I dont' think safety is such an issue. has no one of you ever seen a baby jogger? here in NZ everyone has them. jogging or rolling with your baby or toddler is almost the same, it is just a bit faster than walking. My only problem is that when you want to walk the extension is between your legs (I agree with buzzoff's comment), unless it can easily be pushed in and pulled out.
Andrea   05.29.10
Can't you just think about the concept? I think it's great.
Nacho   05.30.10
noble idea not to be used with baby
