random international & chris o’shea: a study for a mirror

image: random international

the interactive designers at random international teamed up with chris o’shea to develop this
experimental mirror concept that prints a temporary image on glass. the project uses a hidden camera
to capture an image of the face in front of the mirror and produces a light reactive screen print
back-printed on glass. user’s step up to the mirror and once their face is detected by the system,
it begins printing their image in reverse. the whole system is self contained in a small frame that hangs
on the wall, complete with a full pc running custom software.
