UK designer duncan shotton aims to relive the tradition of milk delivery with his full-fat milk doorstop.
this simple design is made from a glass bottle filled with solid whit resin that looks like milk. the top is
sealed with a re-enforced foil and the base is held in place with a transparent anti-slip disc.  the whole
piece weighs a hefty 1.2kg that keeps doors in their place. shotton explains his feelings on glass-bottled
milk, ‘milk delivery conjures a pleasant sense of nostalgia for many of us. the gentle hum of the milk
float, the "clink" of the glass as bottles rattle in their cage and the feeling of localism and community
that is largely lost in today’s society.’ his design effectively conjures up these feelings in a new
functional product.
