michael faber: h-horse - les cravates par Hermes competition shortlisted revealed

'h-horse'

'h-horse' by michael faber, is one of the 280 shortlisted entries from our recent
designboom competition 'les cravates par Hermès'. the design creates a horse head pattern,
made up of the Hermès 'H' executed in the aesthetic of embroidery / cross-stitching technique.

the winners of the 'les cravates par Hermès' competition were announced last november,
however Hermès wanted to include the winning designs in their next collection,
prompting us to keep the results under wraps, until the collection was ready and presented
at Hermès stores. within the next 10 days the complete data of the shortlisted winners,
including images, will be revealed. stay tuned!

I am sorry to say but I am not impressed by such design, especially for a brand like Hermès. Buying a tie cost an arm.

I like it! the H's must be tiny-winy in real life though? In the Hermes orange this would be even better!

Bravo! A nice collaboration of type-set and optical illusion. I'm sure it will be produced in several colors including their signature Hermes orange.
