‘bon bon gold’

 

 

dutch designer marcel wanders has designed ‘bon bon gold’. the seat is structurally made from rope which has been ‘crocheted’ to create the chair’s form. it is reinforced with resin and precious metal for structural purposes and added details. it is made in an edition of 20, plus 2 artist’s proofs.

‘bon bon gold’ is currently on show as part of ‘sotheby’s at sudeley castle‘, an outdoor exhibition held at sudeley castle, gloucestershire. it includes twenty-five unique or limited-edition works of contemporary design. through diverse and innovative reinterpretations of traditional functionality, the artists challenge popular perceptions of everyday objects. the show runs until august 1st, 2010.
