faris elmasu: bent basket

image: faris elmasu
the wicker basket is perhaps one of the most quintessential bicycle accessories. the bent basket by
san francisco designer faris elmasu is a variation on this classic design made using bent plywood.
the basket can be attached to a bike’s front or rear rack and holds a variety of objects with a series of
elastic straps. five layers of wood veneer are vacuum molded to make the design light and durable.
an aluminum frame s mounted below to hold it in place while the nylon straps keep cargo safe.
the basket will even hold a 12 pack of beer!

One of the biggest obstacles is my Vinyl carrier bag when i DJ, so I have to ask what is the carry load and how does it react to rain/damp?
And I really like elastics being preplaced
