inoda + sveje: DC09 dining chair

profile
danish-japanese milan-based inoda + sveje (kyoko inoda and nils sveje) have designed the
'DC09' dining chair in collaboration with japanese manufacturer miyazaki isu. available in
indonesian rose wood, teak or ash, the most characteristic part of the 'DC09' is its seat,
which has been shaved as thin as possible, but still remains rigid and structurally sound.
the solid wood chair is sculpted by organic lines, while still following human ergonomics.

PS to readers, my policy is to support good design by buying it. Purchases, even small, greatly encourage artists and designers to carry on and expand. I hope others will do the same. Lets save the good ones and keep them rising.
HOWEVER..... Timber sourced from Indonesia is is cut down from Orang-Utan rainforest. Loggers are wiping out these ancient forests for a cheap buck. There are SO many other timbers that could have been used here.
Shame it tarnishes the beautiful design...
