yu kwang soo: spiral spring chair
yu kwang soo: spiral spring chair

'spiral spring chair'
'spiral spring chair' by korean designer yu kwang soo is a seating design powered
by wind up system.

following the structure of wind up toys, users can turn the dial to tighten the internal
spring mechanism. upon release, the spring, seeking to return to its original position,
causes the chair to run.

in approaching his work, yu kwang soo is interested in giving each of his designs
a humanistic characteristic. here the 'spiral spring chair' denies the idea of remaining
a passive static object. instead, it seeks to showcase 'vitality' through its movement.

And no video??? that is too bad! Looks some much fun!
