yu-ting cheng + yu-hsun chung + shaw-chen chen: wheel + seal umbrella

yu-ting cheng + yu-hsun chung + shaw-chen chen: wheel + seal umbrella

'wheel umbrella'
93cm

terrible weather can make anyone easily depressed. for this reason, taiwanese designers
yu-ting cheng, yu-hsun chung and shaw-chen chen have created 'wheel umbrella' for
children. here the design features wheels that leave impressions of smiley faces on the
floor using puddles left over from the rain.

'seal umbrella'
88cm

an alternative version titled 'seal umbrella' stamps wet smiley faces on the pavement.

detail

both 'wheel' and 'seal' umbrella were a part of the 'fun taiwan, new design' exhibition
during DMY international design week berlin 2010. the show brought together young taiwanese
designers whose work celebrated the culture, festivals and life experiences of their country.

This web is very interesting, however, in every post, there is always the negative comment from a frustrated beeing, that is unable to bring a constructive criticism. Who do you think you are "P" to be so rude?. Why dont you show your work and we will evaluate if you do such gret things that you might believe you are above all human beeings. If you do not like what you see, go to another post but respect the work from other people. If you have something interesting to say, go ahead, otherwise, you better shutt up.

That is what can be called a happy idea!
