atelier RONIN: tidal wave chair

'tidal wave chair'

'tidal wave chair' is the result of a material exploration project by american creative
collective 'atelier_RONIN'. together, they constructed this cardboard chair which apart
from functioning as a seating unit also features ribs/fins doubling as shading
devices and storage shelves for items like cell phones and keys.

This looks like a terrible student project. Why is this on your site?
GooBss   07.15.10
I second that GooBss. This design is clumsy, inelegant, wasteful and lacks any design rigour!

Furthermore,

'Shading' - FROM WHAT?!

'Storage' - don't make me laugh!
toby00001   07.15.10
toby00001 - I'm laughing already - not looking too functional there guys - needs some work - Franky G already did the cardboard thing maybe before these designers were even born? Know your history - hahaha
G-man   07.15.10
no disrepect for trying to design, but why the hell would you waste so much material and execute something so poorly solely as an object for sitting?!
CROFTdesign   07.15.10
WTF?
