ceramics work in designboom's 'asia now' exhibition at dwell on design in los angeles.

translated from folded banana leaves, pincuk is a series of plates and bowls that mimic
the simple form of the ancient tool.

consisting of a teapot, cup, saucer, sugar bowl, and creamer, the 'handbag collection'
features a pot that can be a fashion accessory. the body is made out of glossed ceramic
while the handle is made out of teak wood.

'rantang' collection: lunch carrier by jesika tirtanimala


a rantang is a hand-carried lunch box that has separate compartments to keep your meal
from mixing together. tirtanimala's 'rantang collection' includes two small containers
for meat and vegetables and one big container for rice. the stacked container is held
together by an oil-finished teak wood handle.

'modern kendi' drinking pot by jesika tirtanimala


a kendi is a traditional drinking vessel with two openings: a mouth and a spout with no
physical handle. the 'modern kendi' is filled through a hole at the base and is poured
by holding the wooden neck which is held in place through a triangle locking system.



the 'modern kendi' is poured using the neck of the pot.
