jaime hayon: bardot by bernhardt

'bardot'

spanish designer jaime hayon's 'bardot' is a new seating product created for bernhardt.
just as the curves of the human body flow into one another, the same can be said of the 'bardot'.
the absence of angles and lines permit the exterior and interior to gently merge together,
creating a continuous form that allows fabric to conform to its shape - similar to the way
a dress fits the body. the overall form of the seating units are influenced by the feminine silhouette.

hayon's aim for the sofa was for it to 'feel like a fruit, tender to the touch', while still
maintaining durability. 'many sofas are too big to actually use in city apartments,
so I wanted to make one that looked big and felt generous, but would actually work
in smaller spaces
.'

I like the sofa, and the general idea but personally I think that renders do not communicate the qualities of your design.

Gostei das formas arredondadas e das cores utilizadas nos revestimentos
