sascha nordmeyer: paper plants and flowers



these colourful exotic flowers are actually made entirely form paper by designer sascha nordmeye, who is german
born and now based in reims, france. the concept for the series of delicate paper flora came after visiting singapore
and trying to recreate the local flowers in france. each piece is made from coloured paper that is punched and cut
to mimic the forms found in nature. nordmeyer has created a series of flowers as well as plant leaf forms. he is
currently undertaking an entire tree made of paper that would flow in the breeze.

Why on earth should it be done with a recycled paper? I think it should be done with virgin paper. Perhaps they could be made from leaves and real flowers!
