‘racNets’ for lacoste

american designer hugh hayden was commissioned by french lifestyle brand lacoste for a boutique window display at the 2010 US open, on display for the duration of the tournament.

entitled ‘racNets’, the monogramed objects are an abstraction of key components of tennis: a racket, the net and balls. for the window display, each racNet holds a letter formed from tennis balls. together they spell out L-A-C-O-S-T-E.

at the end of the US open, a limited edition of 25 personalized pieces will be available for purchase. to personalize the racNets further, purchasers can have theirs constructed using their own balls.
