heath nash: fullcolourform ball

the fullcolourform ball is a hanging pendant lamp by south african designer heath nash. the new design is made from
recycled bottles and other plastics and was recently won a habitare ecodesign prize as selected by the prize judge
ingo maurer. maurer selected nash’s design for its use of recycled plastic waste and for involving his community
by employing people to pick and sort the scraps. the lights are each different based on the scraps used. most combine
different colours of plastic to create a very vivid shade design that surrounds a single bulb illuminating it from within.
designers samuli naamanka henrik enbom  and julien de smedt were also awarded the prize and exhibited their designs
at the ecodesign exhibition in helsinki earlier this month.

No one is as innovative in lighting as Ingo Mauer. If energy conservation could be combined with imagination, the result would be ideal illumination that enhances design and improves productivity, safety and personal comfort.
