for the first time ever, designboom is heading to spain,
presenting a group exhibition of 35 design talents from all over the world,
as part of the cultural program of the valencia disseny week and
asociación de diseñadores de la comunidad valenciana (ADCV) from
september 28 - october 2, 2010.

on this occasion, the renowned market-like installations of our designboom marts,
will actually take over a real market building in valencia's historic city centre.
it will be a bustling place offering many things to see, touch and hear about!

visitors are not only able to meet the young avant-garde and become
familiar with their work, but also purchase many intelligent, useful and
quirky items for a symbolic price between €10 - €100.
from the (literally) wall to wall stalls, each international design professional
personally presents their wares (prototypes and/or limited edition pieces).
from metal to ceramics, glass to fabrics, to recycled materials, ...
more than 100 designsouvenirs™ on sale achieve a good compromise
between creativity and production.

over the intense days of exhibiting and socializing, designers have the opportunity
to meet and discuss with other like-minded professionals, customers, manufacturers,
distributors, press and museum curators, verifying their designs and their packaging credentials.
profits through sales help fund their trip to valencia and provide a showcase otherwise unavailable
to young designers.

after new york, tokyo, sydney, saint-etienne, melbourne, copenhagen, stockholm and seoul,
this unique formula now sees its 20th edition, since our very first mart in new york in 2005.
