the chair is a study in symmetry and ergonomics, based on the observation that people have a habit of sitting in a sideways position. tuomi wanted to design a chair that would address and support this tendency. he did so by forming the back support in such a way that when seated, the left side ends closer to the back of the chair, allowing one to swing their legs to the side and lean against the back rest. ‘2. tuoli’ is made from solid ash and has a plywood seat.
