during valencia disseny week 2010, the spanish-born patricia urquiola designed an installation -
presenting fragments of her work from over the years for various companies - entitled 'cosas' ('things' in spanish).
on show at the feria hábitat, the suspended structure was made of layered sections of cardboard pieced together
to create a wall around the small exhibition. revealing the raw layers of the humble material,
the cardboard was arranged in such away that one could see through the wall via opening sections.

a metal track bar ran around the perimeter of the space in an a curved manner above the installation in which objects
such as furniture pieces and prototypes were hung. neat piles of untreated wood, accented by ends painted in orange,
acted as additional display platforms for urquiola's designs.

'cosas' was a full presentation of urquiola's prototypes, including failed projects, showing all aspects of her work.
the aesthetic of the installation was somewhat a kind of work in progress, raw, unfinished, much like the pieces on show.
