yuki yamamoto: reline

yuki yamamoto: reline

'reline: lounger' (side view)

japanese designer yuki yamamoto's 'reline' series of chairs are derived from mathematical equations
which are transformed from originally two-dimentional curves, defined and projected into 3D
forming the frame of the chairs. yamamoto then takes rubber tubing, normally used for medical purposes
to develop the seat and back supports by creating a strategic linear woven pattern over the frame,
providing comfort and support for one's weight and shape. reline was shown at designtide in tokyo.
