belgian designer bram boo designs furniture that is both unusual and functional. using wood as his main material he creates pieces
that are influenced by people's daily habits. his designs do not follow rules and often include space for storage.
bram boo has been selected as the designer of the year by the interieur 2010 kortrijk, belgium.

i don't understand his furniture and i don't understand why there is a picture of him with his father. so what if he's a painter and has a funky atelier

I like your approach to functional storage and art combined.
I especially like the picture of you with your Father.

Free Form Constructural Realism - you are a patronising one aren't you?

As for the work, it's ok. No better than some degree show work, but cos it's been launched in the world of art/design everyone goes mad for it. What an odd industry it is at the moment.

Oh, and as for the photo of him with his dad - what relevance to the work and the story? It shows a creatvie space, but no work in development or anything that means it should be included in a story on the "designer of the year."

I guess designboom has included it to show the cultural background of bram boo. Of course if his father would work in a post office then they might have published his funky grandma.
